A heartfelt thank you to Lisa Jacobs from Leighton Buzzard for organising the ‘Big Fat Wedding Party’ in aid of Home-Start Central Bedfordshire and the Leighton Linslade Homeless Shelter. Lisa had the wonderful idea of having a party where everyone could dust off their wedding dresses and suits whilst fundraising to help local charities. We are very pleased to hear from Lisa that the event was a big success and that it could even become an annual event!
Linda our Home-Start Central Bedfordshire CEO met up with Lisa and the Leighton Linslade Homeless Shelter at The Green House in Leighton Buzzard to collect the funds raised earlier this week. It costs on average £14 per week for us to support a local family as well as the additional costs of running our organisation. Lisa kindly raised £162.50 for our organisation which will go a long way to helping us support local parents and children.
