Do You Have A Child With ADHD?

Being a Parent of a Child with ADHD is a free course for Central Bedfordshire parents and carers of children with ADHD (they do not have to have received a diagnosis). This interactive and informal course is delivered online via Zoom. It is run over ten weeks by trained parent group facilitators who have first-hand experience of the joys and challenges of having a child with ADHD.

In the course, we will explore:

  • The experience of being a parent of a child with ADHD
  • Understanding your child
  • Help with communication, interaction and playing with your child
  • Everyday strategies and routines to assist your child
  • Understanding your child’s behaviour so you can meet their needs
  • Understanding ‘overwhelm/meltdowns’ to prevent and helpfully manage recovery.

By the end of the course, you will have:

  • Increased confidence in your parenting
  • Positive parenting skills to improve the quality of the interactions you have with your child.

Course Dates

  • Monday 20th April – 6th July 2026 (excluding Bank holiday Monday and half term), evenings from 8 – 9.30 pm
  • Monday 14th September – 23rd November 2026 (excluding half term), evenings from 8 – 9.30 pm
  • Monday 11th January – 22nd March 2027 (excluding half term), evenings 8 – 9.30pm
  • Monday 19th April – 5th July 2027 (excluding bank holidays and half term), evenings 8 – 9.30pm.
