After several years of Home-Start Central Bedfordshire having a Dunstable headquarters, we have now moved to Leighton Buzzard Town Centre. Our charity’s services aimed at giving children the best start in life and supporting parents will be organised and coordinated from here and delivered across the county.
All our services and volunteering opportunities remain the same, but the building’s facilities now benefit from being more accessible for volunteers and service users. There’s also much more parking available for visitors, including the library car park opposite. For the time being, our phone number will remain the same, but our new HQ address is Delta House, 33 Hockliffe Street, Leighton Buzzard. LU7 1EZ.
Some of you may remember that our charity first began in Leighton Buzzard in 1984. We originally had a room above the library, eventually moving to Vandyke Road and then onto Downside, Dunstable. Although we are no longer called Home-Start Leighton-Linslade and now offer support services across the county, we are pleased to be back home, where we first started.
As the need for Home-Start has continued to grow over the years, so have our services. Over the upcoming months, we will announce more changes to our charity, helping us better meet this need, because childhood can’t wait.
